It was reported in The Morning Call - Monday, June 25th, 2007 that Dorney Park will be getting a 184 - foot - tall coaster, power by linear induction motor. This new coaster will speed 28 passengers through corkscrew turns at a speed of up to 70 mph. Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., located in Sandusky, Ohio. ( owner of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom ) will not release any further information about the new coaster. The company had plans as far back as 1998 for the development of two new rides for Dorney Park. The only news released on the new coaster is that it might be a U - shaped coaster with a straight spike & a Twisted spike; similar to the Steel Venom ride being removed from Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom, located in Aurora, Ohio., ( also owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co ). { Not mentioned in the newspaper article is the fact that this website - www.coasteramania.com  "CedarFairMania" is geared towards amusement parks & rollercoaster's fans.
